Recap: Best Luggage Made in the USA

Factors We Considered

Your suitcase has to be durable. If you’re flying somewhere, your bags are changing hands several times and can incur a lot of wear and tear. We eliminated over 20 bags from our consideration based on their lack of durability (easy to tear, dent, etc.), and only made recommendations for products we feel confident can last you for years to come.

Easy to Use

What’s a good piece of luggage if it isn’t functional? Zippers getting stuck, pockets in inconvenient places, dysfunctional wheels – you know the deal. Below are some of the functional criteria we looked for in each of our categories.

  • Handle/strap functionality and comfort
  • Wheel mobility and stability
  • Easy slide zippers
  • Convenient pocket locations
  • Easy access to your belongings

We looked for products that were fairly represented in price and quality. We want to make sure you’re getting the best luggage for your money, whatever type of bag it may be. We eliminated any suitcases or bags that we thought were unfairly priced based on the quality.
