Founded in 1987 with the belief that real quality means forever, driven to produce products in the US, Benchmade started in a second-story mezzanine in California, producing their now-famous handmade custom Bali-Songs with second-hand equipment. As the company expanded and moved the custom-knives production from Cali to Oregon, it reaffirmed its will to produce locally and its commitment to product quality and customer relationships.
